lona Naumova (*1975) studied violin at the conservatory of Ural in Ekaterinburg in her home country Russia. From 1994 until 1998 she worked in the National Opera in Ekaterinburg.

 

In 1999 she pursued additional studies with Eva Zurbrügg at the Berner Fachhochschule für Musik in Bern and as of 2001 with Jean Piguet at the conservatory in La Chaux-de-Fonds. 2004 Ilona Naumova concluded with the diplomas in teaching, orchestra and as soloist.

 

Already during her studies, she gave first teaching classes at the Musikschule Konservatorium Bern and attended advanced classes for Education of Phyllis Young, Gilles Apap and Anna Schmidt.

 

Naumova participated as assistant for strings in the Yugoslavia Tour of the Youth Symphony Orchestra (Konsi Bern), led by Ingo Becker, as part of the program “Bridges for the Future”.

 

From 2011 to 2016, she completed the studies of the Suzuki methodology with Agathe Jerie. Since then she leads a “Suzuki” class at the Musikschule Zürich Oberland in Wetzikon. On a regular basis, she attends international Suzuki conferences and advanced training and also teaches in Suzuki Workshops.

 

Currently she plays in the Musical Christmas Ensemble in Thun, in the orchestra Collegium Cantorum in Wetzikon, in the new chamber music project "Die Saiterei" as well as in the orchestra degli Amici in Saanen as concertmaster.
